Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. HiMi uses cookies and browser storage at two levels.
Essential, always on
HiMi doesn't work properly without these. They are not used to track you.
| Name | Purpose | Kept for |
|---|---|---|
himi_locale | Remembers your language | 1 year |
himi_consent | Remembers your cookie choice | 12 months |
himi.profile.v1, himi.actions.v1 (browser storage) | Keeps the details you typed and the actions you ticked so you don't have to enter them again | Until you clear this site's data |
| Firebase sign-in session (browser storage) | Keeps you signed in | Until you sign out |
_GRECAPTCHA | Prevents abuse (Google reCAPTCHA, via Firebase App Check) | 6 months |
The last two (sign-in and abuse prevention) only start being used when accounts open; HiMi does not use them yet.
Analytics, only with your consent
| Name | Purpose | Kept for |
|---|---|---|
_ga, _ga_<id> | Google Analytics: counts visits and shows which pages help | 2 years |
Google Analytics runs only after you choose Accept. Analytics data is kept for 14 months. HiMi uses no advertising cookies.
Changing your choice
